I'm thrilled that one of my clients - Theresa Sullivan - wrote one of these top posts.  


Here's my assessment of her success:


1.  She published in the right place - she wrote about careers on Linkedin, a locus for such topics.

2.  She said controversial things that hit emotional cords.  Some people loved it and others were angry.  Both encourage shares.

3.  She was connected to influencers in her niche. She used to work at Linkedin, so people with high visibility in the area of careers shared her post.

4. She wrote from the heart, using humor and irony.  Her personality came through.

5. She used a list format, with numbers in the title. Lists often perform better than non-lists.

6. Luck. The right people saw the post and shared it with the right people.
